Through awareness sessions, ZACSO is helping build a Zanzibar where children with autism are accepted, respected and included from the very start. The gathering reflected ZACSO's commitment to a Zanzibar where persons with autism are understood, accepted, supported and included in every part of society.

Awareness is the first step towards inclusion. By replacing myths with accurate information, ZACSO helps communities respond to autism with understanding, compassion and practical support.

A community that accepts and respects every child is part of a wider programme of awareness, early identification, therapy and intervention, inclusive education, family support, capacity building and community outreach led by ZACSO across the islands.

ZACSO extends its sincere gratitude to all partners, volunteers and community members whose support makes this work possible. Together we are building a more inclusive Zanzibar.
