ZACSO awareness visit unites the community

Community members came together for an awareness visit, showing the growing understanding and acceptance of autism in Zanzibar. The gathering reflected ZACSO's commitment to a Zanzibar where persons with autism are understood, accepted, supported and included in every part of society.

Outreach takes information, referral and support directly to communities, especially in underserved areas. Meeting families where they are helps reduce stigma and builds lasting local understanding of autism.

ZACSO awareness visit unites the community is part of a wider programme of awareness, early identification, therapy and intervention, inclusive education, family support, capacity building and community outreach led by ZACSO across the islands.

ZACSO extends its sincere gratitude to all partners, volunteers and community members whose support makes this work possible. Together we are building a more inclusive Zanzibar.
