120 teachers in Zanzibar complete autism awareness training

ZACSO trained 120 teachers from primary and preparatory schools, equipping them with practical skills to identify and support learners with autism in the classroom. The gathering reflected ZACSO's commitment to a Zanzibar where persons with autism are understood, accepted, supported and included in every part of society.

Training is one of the most powerful ways to change outcomes. When teachers, health workers and caregivers understand autism, children are identified earlier, supported better and included more fully in school and community life.

Every such moment moves ZACSO closer to its vision: an inclusive society that accepts and respects all children, youth and adults on the autism spectrum and empowers each person to reach their highest potential.
