ZACSO briefs the Speaker of the Zanzibar House of Representatives

The team introduced the organisation to the Speaker and explained the situation of autism in Zanzibar. The Speaker opened the door for ZACSO to train members of the House. The gathering reflected ZACSO's commitment to a Zanzibar where persons with autism are understood, accepted, supported and included in every part of society.

Advocacy sits at the heart of ZACSO's mission. By carrying the voices of families, caregivers and professionals to decision-makers, the organisation works to keep autism on the national agenda and to ensure that policies reflect the real needs of the community.

Every such moment moves ZACSO closer to its vision: an inclusive society that accepts and respects all children, youth and adults on the autism spectrum and empowers each person to reach their highest potential.
